Official 2016/17 Champions League Shirts – Team By Team Overview

With the first round of prestigious Champions League fixtures completed, Wise Words for You takes a closer look at each club’s third and home shirts to be worn throughout the elite of European football this 2016/17 season.


Group A
PSG – Nike have issued the French giants with an ultra-clean white third shirt with unique iridescent effects granted to their Nike Swoosh and the club’s famous crest.

22Besiktas – Besiktas have also opted for a red Champions League, similar to Group B counterparts Benfica, however features a modernly styled faux traditional collar in black.
3Group C
Barcelona – Looking to lift their sixth Champions League trophy, Barcelona will wear a visually striking third shirt of turquoise blue with white horizontal pinstripes for a gradient effect.

Manchester City – Using the same unique Nike kit design as Group C counterparts Barcelona, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be handed an orange and purple third shirt which is arguably the boldest of this seasons tournament.

Borussia Monchengladbach – Bundesliga club Monchengladbach will adorn an almost UFO-looking third shirt of black with modern hoops in bright green.
13Celtic – The brightest coloured shirt within the 2016/17 Champions League is undoubtedly Celtic of whom will wear a two-tone hot pink design from New Balance.
5Group D
Bayern Munich – The German giants of Bayern Munich have been issued with a clean third shirt of white whilst incorporating their famous burgundy home colours.
2Atletico Madrid – Looking to go one step further than their efforts in 2014 and 2016 by losing to rivals Real Madrid on both occasions in the final, ‘Atleti’ will wear their trademark home shirt of red and white stripes.
23PSV – After last seasons stunning sky blue third shirt, PSV will now pull-on a pine green Champions League strip with Croatian-inspired chequers flowing down the left front panel.
16Rostov – Huge underdogs Rostov will look to deny the heavy odds in their blue and yellow adidas home shirt with matching shorts and socks.

CSKA Moscow – Russian champions CSKA Moscow will wear their powerful blue and red striped home shirt within Group E.
25Bayer Leverkusen – Jako have restyled Bayer Leverkusen’s red and black home shirt to create a more stealth-like third strip through modern pinstripes.
26Tottenham Hotspur – Arguably the most regal shirt within the Champions League is Spurs’ third strip which Under Armour compose in gold and navy blue.

Real Madrid – Reigning champions Real Madrid have been issued with a unique third shirt of black and purple by iconic kit suppliers adidas which features Plaza de Cibeles inspiration upon the shoulders.
