Rules to A Wise Word or Two's Chat Room

Rules are meant to provide safety, structure and predictability for you

1) Age Requirements - The Chat Room is recommended for over 18s ONLY so that simply means- "Over 18's". I will look at an option later on for teenagers, but for now it is an 18 Rated room, if you are found to be under 18 Admin will ban you and will record your IP address

2) Be careful - Some people online sound very convincing but they are strangers. Keep in mind that friends online are really just strangers.

3) Do NOT give out any personal information (i.e where you live, email address, telephone number, etc) - There are some very odd people online so be careful. Make sure your profile in chat room does not include any personal information.

4) Never meet someone offline, this can be dangerous.
5) Report to Admin if someone makes you worried in the chat rooms.

6) Please remember anything you type in any of the chat rooms can be seen by everyone who is using that chat room.

7) Choose a chat room name that is anonymous to your real persona.

8) Never give out any personal information. Ignore requests for personal information.

9) Never accept downloads from people you don't know. Never click on a link in the chat room from someone you don't know.

* Never meet anyone offline that you only know.

* Chat room conversations are kept so keep this in mind.
* Make sure you now how to report problems to Admin.

11) Never give your phone number out over a chat room; it is not safe to give your phone number to anyone in a chat room or on the net.

12) If you feel threatened by anyone in the chat room you should inform Admin, if no one is about then simply leave the chat room and come back later, make a note of the persons nickname so you can inform Admin who will help you.

A rule that is not enforced is worse than no rule at all.

I may sound like I am repeating myself but I have to show you Chat can be fun but also dangerous that is why I have put Rules into place.
