Samsung has launched a revamped version of its budget Chromebook 2 laptop, with an improved chipset on board.
The 11-inch version of the leather-backed notebook now includes a 2.58GHz Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The machine also features a 1,366x768 TN screen positioned beneath a 720p webcam, and the on-board battery will keep it fired up for nine hours.
Although these are relatively modest specs, the new Chromebook 2 will go on sale at just $249.99 (£155) next week.
Chromebook 2 owners will be granted access to the new Google Help service, a technical support platform similar to Amazon's Mayday that connects users to technicians via video link.
The refreshed Chromebook 2 is available to pre-order as of October 17.
