Another addition to the family
While Apple looks set to launch the iPhone 7, the Watch 2 and a new MacBook Pro before the turn of the year, the iPad is expected to receive the biggest changes in 2017.
That's according to a report from KGI securities analyst Ming-Chui Kuo, who has a respectable record for accurate Apple predictions, who indicates the frankly cluttered and confusing line of iPads is set to welcome another addition to the family.
The Cupertino company will allegedly launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a model which could act as a mid-level option between the 12.9 and 9.7 inches variants.
According to Kuo, both devices will reportedly offer Apple's upcoming A10X processor, while the 9.7-inch new iPad will have an A9X processor.
Releasing a new size isn't all that Apple has planned, though. Kuo also claims that Apple is working on a revolutionary new iPad with a flexible AMOLED screen that is set for 2018.
He said: "If Apple can truly tap the potential of a flexible AMOLED panel, we believe the new iPad model will offer new selling points through radical form factor design and user behaviour changes, which could benefit shipments."
While the rumours will soon temporarily cease regarding most of Apple's products, expect to hear plenty more about the future of the iPad range.
