With the first round of prestigious Champions League fixtures completed, Wise Words for You takes a closer look at each club’s third and home shirts to be worn throughout the elite of European football this 2016/17 season.

Benfica – Portugal’s Benfica will also continue to use their home shirt for the tournament in Group B which of course flaunts their rich red colours.




Barcelona – Looking to lift their sixth Champions League trophy, Barcelona will wear a visually striking third shirt of turquoise blue with white horizontal pinstripes for a gradient effect.

Manchester City – Using the same unique Nike kit design as Group C counterparts Barcelona, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be handed an orange and purple third shirt which is arguably the boldest of this seasons tournament.

Borussia Monchengladbach – Bundesliga club Monchengladbach will adorn an almost UFO-looking third shirt of black with modern hoops in bright green.


Bayern Munich – The German giants of Bayern Munich have been issued with a clean third shirt of white whilst incorporating their famous burgundy home colours.




CSKA Moscow – Russian champions CSKA Moscow will wear their powerful blue and red striped home shirt within Group E.




Real Madrid – Reigning champions Real Madrid have been issued with a unique third shirt of black and purple by iconic kit suppliers adidas which features Plaza de Cibeles inspiration upon the shoulders.




Leicester City – Premier League champions and Champions League debutantes Leicester City will wear a slick white shirt with club-themed blue pinstripes.




Juventus – Juve’s classic white and black colour-way has been uniquely transformed by adidas into a zebra-inspired colour-way upon the shoulders.
