Moments in Time: The Crystal Maze absolutely smashed the ratings last night... so could it come back for a full series?

Crystal Maze Stand up to Cancer special: Maureen Lipman as Mumsey

The Crystal Maze came back for a very special episode for Stand Up To Cancer last night – and it was a huge success.
The show picked up 3 million viewers, which is only up 137% on the slot average (plus it had the highest share of 16-34-year-olds watching).
Hosted by Stephen Merchant, the charity instalment saw Rio Ferdinand, Michelle Keegan, Jonnie Peacock, Sara Cox and Josh Widdicombe take on the Aztec, Medieval, Futuristic and Industrial zones and people completely loved it.
And they also started begging for Channel 4 to bring the show back for a proper series... so after those stonking ratings, could it happen?

After all, the BBC has brought back Robot Wars and Channel 4 revived TFI: Friday after the success of a one-off special. So it's not completely out of the realms of possibility, right?
Channel 4 is probably pretty thrilled with those audience figures, but there don't seem to be any plans to make this more than a one-off.
There was also a Child Genius special last night, while Friday night on Channel 4 will be devoted to raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
Hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Adam Hills, the evening will see special guest appearances from stars like Michael Bublé, Britney Spears, Noel Gallagher, Olivia Colman, David Tennant, John Bishop, José Mourinho, Jon Hamm, Matthew McConaughey and Eva Longoria. Pretty starry, in other words.

Little Mix and Bastille will offer the music, while we'll also get special instalments of Humans,The Last Leg and even Davina's classic dating show Streetmate.
And it wouldn't be a night of Stand Up To Cancer without Celebrity Gogglebox – this year featuring a trio of England footballers and pop sensations Olly Murs and Niall Horan.
Stand Up to Cancer is a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 to accelerate new cancer treatments to UK patients and save more lives, more quickly.
Launched in 2012, Stand Up to Cancer's fundraising total has so far reached over £25 million to fund clinical trials across the UK.
