And what does this mean for the Legends?
The real-world football season may be over, but FIFA's always there for us – and now it's time to say hello to your brand new cover star for FIFA 18, Cristiano Ronaldo.
We can't say we're overly surprised about EA Sports' choice, we reckon it's fair game – he has won the Ballon D'Or, Best FIFA Men's Player, the Primera Liga, the European Championship and the Champions League in the last 12 months.
Dropping the reveal and a brand new short trailer earlier today (June 5), there's also a hint that something special may be in store for PS4 players.
Eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that PlayStation's sting takes precedence over Xbox One's, suggesting that the rumours Microsoft has lost its FUT Legends exclusivity to Sony may be true.
But do we know what – if any – perks PS4 players will get with the latest edition of FIFA? Well, sadly not, but more in-game details will be heading our way on June 10.
As usual, FIFA 18 will hit stores in the autumn, launching worldwide on September 29 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3 and Xbox 360 systems.
Fans who pre-order the Ronaldo Edition of the game on PlayStation, Xbox One or PC will also receive three-day early access and a whole host of extra features, including special edition FIFA Ultimate Team kits.
Not only that, EA and Origin Access members can enjoy up to 10 hours of play time starting September 21, before the official launch date, as well as a 10% discount on digital versions of the game.
Consider any upcoming weekend plans cancelled.
