As America as a nation mourns, say a prayer for the families who continue to grieve the loss of their loved ones.
On this day of national remembrance, please join us in praying for the families and friends who continue to suffer deep pain in the absence of their loved ones. Take a moment to read though Psalm 23, asking the Lord to provide comfort and healing as these men, women and children face their darkest memories this week.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I have everything I need.
He lets me rest in fields of green grass
and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.
He gives me new strength.
He guides me in the right paths,
as he has promised.
Even if I go through the deepest darkness,
I will not be afraid, Lord,
for you are with me.
Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.
You prepare a banquet for me,
where all my enemies can see me;
you welcome me as an honored guest
and fill my cup to the brim.
I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life;
and your house will be my home as long as I live.

The Tribute in Light as seen above is an art installation of 88 searchlights placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light to represent the Twin Towers in remembrance of the September 11 attacks. It is produced annually by the Municipal Art Society of New York.
The two beams cost approximately $1,626 (assuming $0.11 kWh) to run for 24 hours. There are 88 xenon spotlights (44 for each tower) which each consume 7,000 watts.
