Ice Bucket Challenge: Bill Gates & Mark Zuckerburg

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has become the latest celebrity to soak themselves with ice cold water for charity.

The 30-year-old was challenged by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to take on the ice bucket challenge to raise money for the ALS Foundation - which raises awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

After dousing himself with a bucket of iced water, Zuckerberg said: "That was really cold."

He has now challenged Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to take on the challenge.

The charity ice bucket challenge is continuing to spread, and now Bill Gates has taken up the dare.

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg challenged Gates to soak himself in ice cold water to raise money for the ALS Foundation, which raises awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

However, the Microsoft founder took the challenge a step further by building his own bucket tipping contraption, rather than holding the bucket provided.

Challengers are asked to complete the task within 24-hours of being nominated and must chose three other people give it a go.

Gates selected Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest and Chris Anderson from TED to participate next.
