The Real Christmas

Image
Greetings and blessings of Christmas to everyone present here. Many people believe that Christmas is purely a festival for Christians, and they would be right if recent evidence were to be taken into consideration. However, this definition can not be further from reality concerning its roots as Christmas is a festival celebrated by everybody with joy. A few decades after Jesus’ birth in the ancient Roman Empire, Christmas originated. The Pagan celebration of the term known as Saturnalia emanated Christmas. This celebration aimed to celebrate the sunrise and winter end. The festival usually takes place for a week and is characterized by illegal activity and a system for the exemption from lawless acts like housing. The last day of Saturnalia was adapted for Christmas in the 4thcentury. The goal was to obtain a positive association between this period and the pagans. Many pagans, therefore, converted to Christianity with the promise to celebrate their tradition still today. Historical ev...

Thought for the Day: Curiosity

Image
Curiosity is the desire to know or learn about new things and grow intellectually. When we are interested in ideas, we are curious to   learn more , ready to go any length to know deeper probing about it, understanding the root cause, or coming to the solution. Backstabbing and criticizing each other more is a sign of poor mentality. It does nothing fruitful than degrading our curiosity, thinking level, and attitude. But if we find ourselves curious about ideas, we’ll have much to share, contribute and grow. With a curious mind, we can keep ourselves engaged to enrich our knowledge, pass its spark to others and make a contribution to social life. Be more interested in ideas than in gossiping about people. And stay focused on the ideas and the curiosity.

Words have the power to create, define or destroy you, everything in your hand. How you choose to use words has the power to leave a long-lasting impression on your personality, career, and relationships. They have the power to make you hear, feel, or imagine, as well as to give you vision. We need to choose our words wisely. Otherwise, it may cost you much. As said –  Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate, and to humble , so handle them carefully. Words once spoken cannot be taken back. Don’t use negative or bad words.

Winning is not what matters; what matters the most is the want to win, performance with full engagement, making experience, and growing more stronger than before. With your desire to win, you definitely become a winner one day but before that, you must have undergone pain, hard work, and win over the defeats. The genuine interest to win gives the motivation to venture deeper into the new techniques of winning at the end of the game. Winning is not everything. You win or lose, what matters the most is that you tried, gave the best, and enjoyed your performance. This attitude of thinking makes you a winner every day. When we believe, winning is everything, we turn out to be a big losers even in small defeats and bitter experiences of life. Whatever you want to achieve, keep alive the want and enthusiasm for it and be fully engaged in it.
