A free mind is a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing. Most people spend much of their time looking for reasons to be offended. An open mind is never offended because it is free of any attachments. It is never the self that is offended but always the illusion that the self has of itself that is affected by insult! If you can really understand this, deeply grasp it’s truth, live it each day, then pain will be no more. Next time you ‘feel’ offended look closely within yourself at yourself and ask yourself what was offended? If you remain aware you will see that it was only an image of yourself which you had become attached to, and that image did not resonate with the image contained in the insult. If you weren’t attached, if you didn’t identify with the wrong image of yourself then there would be no offence taken. You would then remain free and therefore happy.

If I learn to create love in my heart and silently share it with everyone I meet, love will grace every corner of my life.

As National Express West Midlands prepares to unveil new buses during 2015, they will be accompanied by revisions to liveries. 175 new bus include Alexander Dennis Enviro400 (MMC) as the chosen double-deck type and will feature a two-tone red livery with yellow relief. However, 58 of these will have a grey livery for new premium quality 'Platinum' services. By coincidence as 2014 closed the last of the buses in the blue, grey, white and red livery were going through the paint shop and re-appearing in the current red and white livery.

Happiness is not a destination, it’s a journey. Happiness is not tomorrow, it is now. Happiness is not a dependency, it is a decision. Happiness is what you are, not what you have.

Even when you feel as though things aren’t going well in your life, you have reasons to be grateful. Today, take time to appreciate the gift of life and all its wonders. Count your blessings and cherish what you have.

Introspection is the attitude of going inside when it’s necessary. It is especially applicable before a task or a busy day. The result of going inside is peace and calmness, which gives clarity to the intellect for making right decisions. Introspection does not mean avoiding the world, it means going inside and getting empowered to act along with others.

People spend most of their lives running after things, doing things. They forget that being comes before doing. Those who remember this secret make an effort to “be” and discover that when they stop and observe, life helps and brings whatever is needed. Learning to be is learning to be at peace. It is our most fundamental nature.

Never believe anyone who says we cannot change. Vision is one of the secrets of personal transformation. We are all artists, our mind is the arena of creation and vision is what we are constantly creating. What is your vision of yourself today – patient, relaxed, positive or tense, tight and negative? What do you prefer? So be creative – what does patience look like, feel like, what are you doing that is different when you are patient and you are expressing your power to …wait? Always start with vision not action. See it and you will be it. Be it and you will do it. This is how we create our own life.

Deep inside our consciousness is an oasis of peace. This is the molten core of the soul, but it is not hot, it is cool. Not passive, but a source of inner power to fuel our mind and intellect, so that we can create powerful thoughts and make accurate decisions. If you can learn to go to this centre, peace will be your companion, positivity your partner, and you will be able to chill out in one second, anywhere, anytime. Returning to the centre of your self is the journey of one second. It is the regular destination of clever souls. And it is the source of your power and peace.

When speaking to others we usually speak from our head, or intellect. Words spoken from the head rarely touch the hearts of others. This means they don’t create any impact and are soon forgotten. The solution lies in touching the hearts of others when I speak. To do that, I need to speak with my heart as well as my head and fill my words with love.

Develop the habit of getting up early and sitting in silence. Read a peaceful thought and reflect on it. Write down some ideas about this thought. Return to silence, allowing these ideas to take root inside you. Share your ideas with a person close to you. This practice will help you accept and cope with conflicts and difficult situations. It will help you stay happy and peaceful for the rest of the day.

YouTube is celebrating ten years since it was founded. The video-sharing giant was created by three former PayPal employees Steve Chen , Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim on February 14, 2005. Although the domain youtube.com was registered on this date, the first video was not uploaded until April 23, which was an 18-second clip of Karim at a zoo. Yakov Lapitsky, who shot the video, told Daily News that he doesn't remember much from that day. "I didn't think much of it other than it was pretty adorable," he said. Hurley has also marked the occasion on Twitter, saying: "10 years ago, on this day, I registered a domain... @YouTube. :)" Google, who bought the site for $1.65 billion in 2006, will celebrate the site's 10th anniversary in May when YouTube first opened its doors to the public in beta.

Fifty Shades of Grey has debuted at the top of the US box office. The erotic adaptation took $81,670,000 in its first weekend in theatres, which establishes it as the highest-grossing Presidents' Day opener and second-highest February opening of all time, behind the $83.9m taken by The Passion of the Christ . It also ranks the film among the biggest R-rated movie debuts, with only The Matrix Reloaded , The Hangover Part II and the Mel Gibson biblical adaptation earning more. The difficulty with ego is that it is deeply concealed. Most of us don’t even know we have it. Ego destroys love. It destroys the ability to learn, so there is no more give and take. No more love. We go through many kinds of situations all day long so we should make sure we don’t stop exchanging love. Ego can be overcome by developing humility. If we don’t know how to bow love finishes.

An enlightened person understands that there is nothing to be gained by thinking about others. Pure thoughts and feelings will do all the work. There is no need to think any further. The quality of your thoughts will affect your spiritual endeavour. So keep checking them. If you don’t, then at some point your mode of thinking will become quite ordinary, no longer spiritual. The sign of this is that your mind begins to; race and you start reacting sensitively to little things. You become vulnerable not just to the opinions of others but even to your own limited way of understanding. Thoughts can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

As our thought so is our consciousness, and as is our consciousness so is our life. Let your first thought of the day simply be peaceful. Plant this seed. Water it with attention and you will gather the calm.
